• 产自大肠杆菌的细胞因子 是早期抗体筛选的理想选择(如特异性或结合分析)。一些细胞因子没有天然的的复杂糖基化,因此可以由大肠杆菌产生正确折叠且具有生物活性的细胞因子。这些细胞因子常被用作免疫原,以从小鼠或兔子体内获取特异性单克隆抗体(mAb)。然而,用于治疗的重组mAb必须用哺乳动物细胞产生的细胞因子进行测试,以确保其有效靶向和中和人类的靶标。

• 产自哺乳动物的细胞因子 具有天然的3D折叠和翻译后修饰,例如糖基化和二硫键模式,这些模式在细菌中难以或不可能重现。通过选择CHOHEK293表达的细胞因子,可以加速从早期筛选到临床开发的过渡。
